Vi bruker enkle laboratorieverktøy for å undersøke rotsystemarkitekturen (RSA) til Arabidopsis og Medicago. Plantene dyrkes hydroponisk over netting og spres med en kunstpensel for å avsløre RSA. Bildene tas ved hjelp av skanning eller et høyoppløselig kamera, og analyseres deretter med ImageJ for å kartlegge egenskaper.
