Matthew F Komelski Human Development and Family Science Virginia Tech Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Matthew F Komelski Dr. Komelski has BAs in History, Philosophy and Religious Studies with advanced degrees (MA, MS & PhD) in East Asian Studies and Human Development, along with a graduate certificate in gerontology. His teaching areas include lifespan development, aging, human services and integrative health. His outreach and research interests involve the use of mindfulness-based programs (meditation, yoga, taiji and qigong) for college students and community members, including the use of distance learning tools to reach isolated populations, such as seniors or people with disabilities living in rural communities without access to local programs.
