هنا نقدم بروتوكول جراحي في الأرانب بهدف تقييم مواد استبدال العظام من حيث قدرات تجديد العظام. باستخدام اسطوانات نظرة خاطفة ثابتة على جماجم الأرانب، والتوصيل العظمي، وosteoinduction، وتكوّن العظام والتكوين الأوعية الدموية الناجمة عن المواد يمكن تقييمها إما على الحيوانات الحية أو القتل الرحيم.
