Beschrijven we een nieuwe methode om DNA-replicatie uit te voeren via de polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Thermische convectie wordt benut om continu pendeldienst tussen de reagentia denatureren, gloeien, en uitbreiding voorwaarden door het handhaven van tegenovergestelde vlakken van de reactor bij constante temperatuur. Dit inherent eenvoudige ontwerp belooft om een snelle PCR meer toegankelijk.
