Raja-Elie Edward Abdulnour Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Brigham And Women's Hospital Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Raja-Elie Edward Abdulnour Raja-Elie received his MD from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. After a post-doctorate fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, and his Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at the Harvard combined program.Raja-Elie then joined the lab of Bruce Levy as a post-doctorate fellow conducting research on the resolution of lung inflammation. With a focus on ARDS, he uncovered organ-protective roles for specialized pro-resolving molecules generated during intravascular neutrophil-platelet aggregates. As an assistant professor of Medicine, Part-time, he continues to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of ARDS resolution with the long-term goal of developing therapies for this devastating disease.As a physician-scientist, he crosses the bench-bedside bridge on a daily basis; he attends in the medical intensive care units, and takes care of patients with cancer-related lung diseases.
