Hier introduceren en beschrijven we een niet-radioactieve en niet-invasieve methode om de novo-eiwitsynthese in vivo te beoordelen, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van de nematode Caenorhabditis elegans en fluorescentieherstel na fotobleaching (FRAP). Deze methode kan worden gecombineerd met genetische en/of farmacologische schermen om nieuwe modulatoren van eiwitsynthese te identificeren.
