Andi Wilson Department of Biochemistry, Genetics & Microobiology FABI, University of Pretoria Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Andi WilsonPostdoctoral Researcher Andi Wilson is a postdoctoral researcher at the Forestry & Agricultural Biotechnology Institute at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She also completed her PhD at this institute under the primary supervision of Prof. BD Wingfield. Andi's primary research focus is on elucidating the underlying genetic mechanisms that control sexual development and mating in ascomycete fungi. Using a combination of comparative genomics and transcriptomics as well as classical genetics and CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing, she has unraveled some of the pathways that allow for unisexual development in filamentous ascomycete fungi.
