He received his undergraduate degree from Beihang University, and a Ph.D. from the Tsinghua University. He is a Visiting Scholar of Department Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, sponsored by China Scholarship Council during 2015 to 2016.Dr. Liu teaches Engineering Mechanics for undergraduate students, and Finite Element Method in Engineering and Vibration Theory for graduate students. He received several research grants from both Natural Natural Science Foundation of China and industries. His research mainly focuses on high efficiency numerical method for solving partial differential equations.
