Kristen Reikersdorfer Department of Biology Washington University in St. Louis Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Kristen Reikersdorfer Kristen Reikersdorfer is a graduate of the Washington University Biology Department in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her Bachelors of Arts in May of 2021, graduating with honors and a major in Biology, concentrating in Neuroscience.As a member of the Hengen Lab, Kristen has has developed and refined long-term electrophysiological recording technologies. These electrodes stand paramount to understanding the self-organization of complex brain activity in freely behaving animals by enabling the ability to study dynamics and encoding on ethologically relevant timescales.Kristen plans to matriculate into medical school in the fall of 2022 and pursue a career in academic medicine.
