Otto Kučera Department of Physiology Charles University, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Otto Kučera Otto Kučera is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physiology, Charles University, Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove. He received an M.D. with honours degree (2001) and a Ph.D. in Physiology and pathological physiology (2005) from the same faculty.Since 2001, he has joined a team of Experimental hepatology. In addition to his teaching duties in Physiology, Dr Kučera is an experimental scientist who has studied mouse and rat models of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and hepatotoxic action of model hepatotoxins in vivo and in vitro. An important component of his research program is focused on isolation of rat and mouse hepatocytes and their cultivation in primary cultures.
