Chirurgisch trauma veroorzaakt een ontstekingsreactie. Cytokines en endogene liganden zijn bekend voor het moduleren van een myocard infarct grootte na ischemie en reperfusie. We presenteren een aangepaste gesloten kist model van muizen ischemie en reperfusie met behulp van gewichten opknoping om de effecten van thoracotomie te minimaliseren.
