La pénurie grave d'un organe a entraîné une utilisation accrue des greffes de reins marginaux pour la transplantation. Cela a suscité un intérêt dans les méthodes de stockage alternatives, depuis greffons marginaux tolèrent en particulier le stockage à froid mal. La technique de normothermique ex vivo perfusion rénale (NEVKP) représente une méthode de conservation roman pour rénaux greffes avant la transplantation.
