Vi beskriver en cell-baserad analys för att rapportera på HIV-1 fusion via uttrycket av grönt fluorescerande protein kan upptäckas av flöde flödescytometri eller fluorescence mikroskopi. Det kan användas för att testa hämmare av viral inträde (särskilt vid fusion steg) i cell-fri och cell-till-cell infektion system.
