Germinant receptor eiwitten cluster in 'germinosomes' in het binnenste membraan van sporen van Bacillus subtilis . We beschrijven een protocol met behulp van super resolutie microscopie en TL verslaggever eiwitten om te visualiseren van germinosomes. Het protocol geeft ook spore binnenste membraan domeinen die zijn bij voorkeur gekleurd met de membraan kleurstof FM4-64.
