Germinant reseptor proteiner klynge i 'germinosomes' i indre membran av Bacillus subtilis sporer. Vi beskriver en protokoll som super-oppløsning mikroskopi og fluorescerende reporter proteiner for å visualisere germinosomes. Protokollen identifiserer også spore indre membran domener som er fortrinnsvis beiset med membran fargestoff FM4-64.
