מוצג כאן פרוטוקול לתאי רדיולייבל עם טומוגרפיה של פליטת פוזיטרונים (PET) רדיואיזוטופ, 89 Zr (t1/2 78.4 h), באמצעות סינתון רדיו-תיוג מוכן לשימוש, [89 Zr]Zr-p-isothiocyanatobenzyl-desferrioxamine ([89Zr]Zr-DBN). תיוג רדיו של תאים עם [89Zr]Zr-DBN מאפשר מעקב לא פולשני והדמיה של תאים רדיו-מסומנים בגוף עם PET עד 7 ימים לאחר מתן התרופה.
