Denne protokol beskriver Open-Top Organ-Chips kapaciteter og væsentlige kulturmetoder til vellykket etablering og modning af fuldtykkelse organ-on-chip-kulturer af primære væv (hud, alveolus, luftveje og tarm), hvilket giver mulighed for at undersøge forskellige funktionelle aspekter af den humane epitel/mesenkymale og vaskulære nichegrænseflade in vitro.
