Het hier gepresenteerde protocol toont de synthese van een sterke klevende hydrogelgelatine o-nitrosobenzaldehyde (gelatine-NB). Gelatine-NB heeft een snel en efficiënt weefselhechtingsvermogen, dat een sterke fysieke barrière kan vormen om wondoppervlakken te beschermen, dus het zal naar verwachting worden toegepast op het gebied van biotechnologie voor letselherstel.
