Transection du nerf optique est un modèle largement utilisé de blessure SNC adulte. Ce modèle est idéal pour effectuer un certain nombre de manipulations expérimentales qui ciblent la rétine au niveau mondial ou directement pour cible la population blessés neuronale des cellules ganglionnaires de la rétine.
