Diese Studie beschreibt die mikroskopische Überwachung der Pneumokokken-Bindung an von Willebrand-Faktor-Strings, die auf der Oberfläche differenzierter menschlicher Primärendothelzellen unter Scherspannung unter definierten Strömungsbedingungen hergestellt werden. Dieses Protokoll kann auf eine detaillierte Visualisierung spezifischer Zellstrukturen und die Quantifizierung von Bakterien durch die Anwendung von Differential-Immunostaining-Verfahren erweitert werden.
