De borstklier is een tweelaagse structuur, bestaande uit buitenste myoepitheel en binnenste luminale epitheelcellen. Gepresenteerd is een protocol voor de voorbereiding van organoïden met behulp van differentiële trypsinisatie. Deze efficiënte methode stelt onderzoekers in staat om deze twee celtypen afzonderlijk te manipuleren om vragen over hun rol in de vorm en functie van de borstklier te onderzoeken.
